Freshwater West

This southwest facing beach is well known as the most consistent surfing beach in Wales.

Waves are almost always a couple of feet bigger than other beaches. But be aware of cross currents, great for the more experienced surfer

 

Barafundle Bay
One of the most delightful beaches in the UK. 

The clean golden sand and unspoilt clear water in this isolated hideaway give it a paradisial feeling. 

Accessed  by a cliff top path, over grassy dunes followed by steps down onto the beach.

 

Broad Haven
A favourite for many locals and visitors alike.  It’s fine golden sand, safe clear blue water, gives the ideal setting for a family day out at the seaside.

This beach backs onto the Bosheston Lily ponds where you may spot some otters or water fowl playing between the water lilies.

 

Freshwater East
A wide, sweeping crescent of sand, dunes and grassy headland. 

Popular with boat owners as it is possible for them  to launch their boats from the slipway. 

A peaceful retreat great for relaxing, looking out over the translucent azure waters.

Angle, Tenby, Saundersfoot are just a few of the other beaches close by well worth a visit.
